					Simon Whaley, best-selling author, will 
					be the judge of the inaugural                competition.
Simon is an award-winning writer and photographer. He has written fiction for many national magazines and websites, including Yours, That’s Life Fast Fiction (Aus), Take a Break, Writers News and the People’s Friend. He also writes non-fiction articles, which have appeared in Hotel, The Lady, SelfBuild & Design, Daily Express, Water Gardener, Dogs Monthly, Walking Wales, BBC CountryFile, In Britain, Heritage, Country Quest, Holiday Cottages, Cumbria & Lake District, People’s Friend and many more. He is the author of eleven non-fiction books. One Hundred Ways for a Dog to Train its Human has sold over two-hundred thousand copies.
Simon has been adjudicating writing competitions for many years and has, amongst others, judged the Wellington Literary Festival Short Story Competition, Telford & Wrekin Literary Competitions, The New Writer Magazine Awards, NAWG (National Association of Writers Group) annual competitions, Doris Gooderson Short Story Competitions, the Grace Dieu Writers’ Circle Short Story Competition and Writelink’s After the Rain Short Story Competition.
